Over the last 20 years I have worked with businesses throughout Ontario and Atlantic Canada — down the East Coast from Maine to Sunny Florida — and overseas in hot markets like Tel Aviv and Berlin. Companies ranged from small startups to large Corporations — focused in Sales, Tech, Higher Education, Hospitality and Non-Profits.
Regardless of the city or industry, my most profound drive lies in guiding teams through their business challenges. In my journey as an individual contributor, I amassed fundamental sales skills through the crucible of peer-to-peer feedback. Transitioning to a Sales Manager, I discovered that my areas for growth were not confined to managing forecasts, generating reports, or overseeing key performance indicators. Instead, I found that my representatives achieved greater success in converting leads and closing substantial deals when I shifted my focus towards the art of coaching, nurturing each individual's foundational skills. Much like a basketball coach, I didn't merely instruct my players to take more free throws until success became apparent. Instead, I invested time in refining their form, enhancing their posture, and fostering the right habits and muscle memory. This approach illuminates a deeper truth: true success is cultivated not merely through sheer effort but by honing one's intrinsic abilities and understanding the nuances of individual potential.
